Yesterday
(10th Feb'13) GATE exam was conducted. It's an all India exam
conducted by IITs annually for entry to M.Tech courses. Some PSUs also consider
the GATE scores for offering jobs. In GATE, there are a total of 65 questions carrying a total of
100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying total of 15 marks are in General
Aptitude (GA). The remaining 85% of the total marks is devoted to the
Engineering syllabus. From last year (GATE-2012),
General Aptitude section has been introduced in the exam along with the traditional Engineering stuff. This section contains Quantitative,Verbal and Logical ability questions and contributes to 15% of the total score. (in fact, it's a remarkable portion given low scores in GATE exam). More or less, this section is in the lines of MBA entrance exams like CAT,XAT, etc.

Yesterday
was a good day for this blog http://mathbyvemuri.blogspot.in. My Math blog was
introduced in Oct'2011 and so far the journey is exciting. Initially the page
hits per day were 10-30 and gradually it is increased to 40-60 and for the last
3-4 months the pace has been maintained at 90-120 page hits/ day. Yesterday
the total page hits were '934', highest figure in my blogging experience thanks
to GATE aspirants.
The
GATE-2013 exam was conducted in two slots (morning and evening). I started
posting the detailed solutions for the aptitude section of the GATE-2013 by
around 6.30 PM. Within 2 hours of my posting, there were around 250 hits and
the count went on with that pace.
This
type of moments are very special to me and are big stepping stones in building
up and pushing ahead my self with mathbyvemuri...
